Norwich Township Chamber of Commerce to host all-candidates’ meeting May 23 at community centre




With the provincial election coming up June 7, members of the community will have an opportunity to question the candidates during an all-candidates meeting in Norwich on May 23.

Hosted by the Township of Norwich Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held Wednesday, May 23 at the Norwich Community Centre. It begins at 7 p.m. and the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Chamber representative Douglas Buck said invitations have gone out to all the candidates – Albert DeJong, Green; Ernie Hardeman, PC; Tim Hodges, Freedom; James Howard, Liberal; Tara King, NDP; Chris Swift, Libertarian; and Robert VanRyswyck, Alliance.

Buck explained the evening’s format will include a moderator who will introduce each candidate who will then be allowed to speak for five minutes before they are asked questions from a panel and the floor. Each candidate will have two minutes for closing remarks.
