Woodstock high schools held the 3rd annual Woodstock Classic track and field meet with more than 700 athletes and 24 schools

The 3rd annual Woodstock Classic track and field meet was held at College Avenue Secondary School Wednesday.
The meet is one of the biggest high school track and field meets to take place in southwestern Ontario before TVRA Central track and field finals May 16 and 17 at TD Stadium at Western University and WOSSAA finals May 24 and 25 also at TD Stadium at Western University.
The event had 24 schools and more than 700 athletes competing in the tune-up meet before the run to OFSAA begins next week.
Oxford County had five schools involved with Woodstock Collegiate Institute, College Avenue Secondary School, St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Huron Park Secondary School and Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute as 91 local athletes took part.
