Ingersoll Times office relocated

The Ingersoll Times staff has moved in with coworkers at the Woodstock Sentinel-Review building, 16 Brock Street in Woodstock.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 was the last day the business office at 19 King Street West. It was also the last day of work for receptionist Mary Pinney, who is retiring after more than 20 years as the familiar face and telephone voice of the Times.

“Sun Media is one hundred percent committed to The Ingersoll Times as a newspaper, and to the town of Ingersoll as a community,” said Publisher Andrea DeMeer. “The Ingersoll Times is a very vibrant and successful community paper, and the relocation of the business office will help us run the paper even more efficiently.”

The announcement about the office’s new location comes on the heels of the appointment of Brent Griffith, a new advertising sales representative serving the Ingersoll market. “From an advertising service stand point we haven’t had the presence in the community in the past few months that we would have liked and that our customers expect,” said DeMeer. “Brent will be a daily fixture in Ingersoll, working with the business community to ensure their needs are met.”

Editor Jennifer Vandermeer and reporter John Tapley will continue to provide quality news and event coverage in Ingersoll, but home base will now be in Woodstock.

“While this feels like the end of an era, the only difference will be how the public gets in touch with us,” said Vandermeer. “People will still see John and I out and about in the community and the paper will continue to come out each week filled with the information our readers have come to expect.”

To reach Vandermeer or Tapley about news and sports coverage or photo opportunities, they can be emailed at the same email addresses: or Their new telephone numbers are 519-537-2341 ext. 230 for Vandermeer or ext. 255 for Tapley.
